Manitoba ABA and IBI Information

MFEAT ~ Manitoba Families for Effective Autism Treatment ~At this               time Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the treatment proven to be                most effective with individuals with autism.  While Applied                          Behavior Analysis is a major discipline within psychology, we are               specifically referring to ABA treatment for young children with

autism based on decades of research by psychologists like Dr. O.                Ivar  Lovaas.

St. Amant ABA-Applied Behavioural Analysis Preschool Program ~

Currently in Canada some provinces fund different models of service

for early intervention programs. In Manitoba, the St. Amant ABA

Preschool Program is funded to provide 31 hours per week of one-

to-one instruction for three years. Parents are trained and

supervised to implement a minimum of 5 additional hours per week.
